Seeing a lot of people dismiss extremely valid criticisms of AO as just "misinterpreting her words" or "she could have worded it better" is incredibly reductive of people's real life lived experiences with bigots who have said those exact same words.

I love Caitvi & truly don't believe that enforcers were shown positively for arcane to be copaganda BUT it's become clear after multiple interviews that AO is pretty ignorant about the reality of policing and how it relates to what she's helping to portray on screen.

i think i'll stand by my opinion that arcane isn't copaganda in the simplest definition of the term. but i also think a lot of the writers don't/didn't have the tact to engage with policing as a storytelling component very well if this is how they're talking ab it now.

creators aren't immune to criticism just because they're creators btw, they can be flawed or shitty people. amanda is a grown woman who knows what she's saying, she doesn't need to be defended
