It's been a minute but today's journal club The Garey Lab was a tie! I presented this fantastic work from @TheRiotMicrobe and others on bile salt hydrolases. I learned a lot on their substrate specificity and subsequent impact on C. difficile life cycle 🤓 nature.com/articles/s4156…

On a tie streak at Journal Scan The Garey Lab🔥 My article was on non-tox Cdiff-M3 strain in hamster model of CDI and the big point here was that this study included fidaxomicin treatment! 🤓 Their findings show potential use of NTCD for preventing rCDI journals.asm.org/doi/epub/10.11…
