BREAKING: CA’s gas tax will increase to 61.2 cents per gallon on July 1st (formally known as CA’s excise tax on gasoline and diesel fuel), per the CA Dept. of Tax and Fee Administration. The rate will jump from the current gas tax rate of 59.6 cents per gallon.

California’s gas tax will increase another 2 cents per gallon starting July 1. The annual increase now brings the total state tax to 61 cents per gallon. Updated clean air standards may also go into effect that month, which are also expected to raise prices at the pump.

Peaceful protestors should be protected. Criminals should be arrested. There’s a constitutional right to protest peacefully. There’s no right to be violent, destroy property, etc. regardless of what you’re upset about. There should be bipartisan consensus on all of this.

This is outrageous. Thugs are currently setting fires & collecting rocks in Downtown L.A. as law enforcement stands by nearby. For the moment, they are letting this all happen. How is it that I'm ticketed if I miss paying my parking meter by 2 minutes but this is allowed?
