The cynipid fauna is largely unexplored in East and Southeast Asia, and not surprisingly most of the 176 gall wasp and 76 parasitoid species we included in this study (from two sites in one province in China) do not have scientific names! (2/2) resjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…

I'll present a little bit about mutualism and how the conflict between mutualisms can shape the evolution of plant traits at #IBC2024. My presentation will be at the Evolutionary Ecology of Plants (session 1). Am I nervous? YEEEEEEEEEEES!

Why do bees bite flowers when buzz pollinating? Here, with Dr Charlie Woodrow and the HFSP -funded team we show that biting helps bees to increase the amount of shaking applied to flowers, potentially releasing more pollen. Free access until 5 Oct! kwnsfk27.r.eu-west-1.awstrack.me/L0/https:%2F%2…

It took me SEVEN years to figure out that you can save a ggplot as a vectorized .svg file ggsave("file.svg"). The svg file can be opened on powerpoint and it will be completely vectorized, even text are still recognized as text boxes! No more recreating plots on illustrator!!!!!

Isopogon anemonifolius, also known as broad-leaved drumsticks, is one of my favourite Blue Mountains plants. The inflorescences attract lots of weevils to mate and lay eggs but also plenty of other insects, including some fearsome predators!
