Lighthouse v7.0.0-beta.4 released πŸŽ‰ This new beta release brings support for the Hoodi testnet, and cleaned up versions of the fixes made to keep Holesky running. It is recommended for all testnets: Sepolia, Holesky, Hoodi and Chiado (Gnosis testnet).

PeerDAS is really taking off πŸš€ Lots of progress, more teams getting involved (ELs, L2s, research, testing etc), and a sharp coordinator Will Corcoran who's already making waves. Excited about where this is headed. Let's get more blobs on Ethereum this year!

here's a specific proposal for blob scaling in fusaka: tl;dr: BPO-style automatic blob scaling, 2x every two months after an initial observation period link in next post

We have released `Lighthouse v7.0.0` which supports the Pectra upgrade on Ethereum mainnet that will land on May 7, 2025. Let's dive in to the changes!

Great post on blobs from mikeneuder.eth ⟠! It’s nice to see a well-written piece covering the complete lifecycle of blobs, both pre- and post-PeerDAS. The section on L2 transaction lifecycles across different types of L2s was especially insightful for me. Great work πŸ‘

Consolidating validators not only reduces the resources your node needs to run but also reduces the load on the entire Ethereum network. Lighthouse users, Combine as many of your validators as you can. Download Siren and help make Ethereum more efficient: github.com/sigp/siren/rel…

Just in time for Pectra, we've been cooking up a live view of Ethereum block production over in The Lab. Watch the lifecycle of a slot unfold as blocks travel through relays (or are built locally πŸ‘‘), land on nodes and then receive attestations πŸ‘€ πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

Pectra is live on Ethereum mainnet! - Smart account wallet UX features now active - L2 scaling data storage blobs increased by 2x - Validator UX improvements live Community members will continue to monitor for any issues over the next 24 hours.

Pectra shipped: - 2x blob capacity - Every wallet becomes smart - Flawless upgrade Now it's time to accelerate: >10x blob capacity increase and >2x L1 capacity increase by EOY. We win together - and it's time to bring the world onchain.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to getting Pectra shipped securely πŸ¦’ It’s been one of the most complex forks to scope, test and ship. Grateful for the opportunity to help shape it. Onto the next one ✨

Every time an Ethereum hard fork rolls out smoothly, I’m in awe. So many EIPs, engineering work and yet not even a single hiccup. It’s a testament to the tireless, global effort of Ethereum core devs. They make hard forks boring, and that’s exactly how it should be. Thank you.

The Ethereum network has just enabled validator consolidations. If you're running a Lighthouse VC, you can consolidate in just a few clicks with our UI, Siren 😏

Last BPO update for devnet0 landed ~2 days ago at epoch 1584, raising the max blob limit to 20. this marks the end of the BPO schedule for devnet0, everything went smoothly πŸš€ Next up: testing bpo mixed with fork digest to improve p2p peering

launchpad.ethereum.org/en/validator-a… is criminally underrated. The UX for partial deposit, withdrawal, and compound is super smooth. Huge kudos to the team behind it, but as always, DYOR
