Office Space (1999) gets funnier with every rewatch. What started as a flop became one of the most quoted comedies ever. Mike Judge captured corporate misery so perfectly that real offices still use “TPS report” as shorthand for pointless busywork.

I asked Maye last week his advice to young athletes: “Play as many sports as you can. I can’t tell you how much baseball and basketball has helped me in playing quarterback.” Funny… He settled on QB (unlike his brothers) because he was the smallest of the three. (He’s 6’4’’!)

Keep your kids playing multiple sports for as long as possible. Don't listen to club coaches pushing them to specialize. They'll become more well-rounded athletes and people (and far less prone to injury/burnout) if they don't. If you're good enough, colleges will find you.

In the last 15 years, we’ve molded a school system where the students who follow the rules get the least attention…because all the energy goes into managing the ones who don’t.

Earl Campbell in the 4th quarter was like a great boxer in the championship rounds. Just when you were exhausted from trying to stop this freight train for three quarters, that’s when he really went to work on you.

“Lacrosse, one of the reasons why it’s beautiful is it brings so many different elements from different sports into it. The more you play different sports, the more athletic you are & the more you develop different kinds of athletic intuitions.” usalacrosse.com/magazine/misc/…

Listen to this interaction between Coach K and Kobe Bryant in the 2008 Olympics “Those are Lakers shots, not shots that are trying to win a Gold Medal. I can’t let you take them” “Is that all? I agree. I won’t take them” Players want accountability

I had a coworker, who served in the Navy, I asked him what he thought about the Coast Guard. “He said he had the utmost respect for them — because they’re the only ones who go out when everyone else is coming in. They go out to save the lives of people that God didn’t give enough

I don’t know if it’s possible for someone to be more alive than Jimmy Cliff is in this clip from The Harder They Come. I don’t think I can put into words what this whole record means to me. It’s overwhelming in so many ways, his positivity in the face of sadness… his incredible

I keep hearing stories of elite club directors threatening families for guest playing with other premium clubs. The sooner parents and players understand that every family at these premium clubs falls into one of two categories, the sooner they stop making emotional decisions
