Has the @bbc actually analysed Gary Lineker’s tweet? Because it is factually accurate. A lot of the tropes used now by Govt: ‘invasion’, ‘menace’ etc, are pretty similar to those used by nationalist parties in 1930s Germany. Why no analysis? Are BBC history presenters muted too?

A great experience having the wonderful Prof Alice Roberts💙 and Rare Television team filming our Lowther excavations. Even answering such important questions as ‘what’s your favourite gravy’. We’re looking forward to seeing Digging for Britain in the new year #lowthermedeivalcastle

As it’s #InternationalDogDay here are some of the dogs I saw today in the excellent Rijksmuseum

*REMINDER* Next week is the deadline for abstracts for 2024's Roman Archaeology Conference in London Thread of RAC sessions seeking speakers (tagging organisers) below! Organised by Roman Society, School of Historical Studies, Birkbeck UCL Institute of Archaeology, Classics@RHUL, & King's Classics

Loved watching Prof Alice Roberts💙 #DiggingForBritain last night featuring office mate Dr James Morris and our UCLan Arch & Anth students work at Lowther castle and Gordon Noble's Northern Picts excavations at Mither Tap. So many excellent Northern projects being showcased!

You can still catch UCLan Arch & Anth academic Dr James Morris appearance on this week's BBC Two show Digging for Britain hosted by Prof Alice Roberts💙. 👉ow.ly/ivIc50Qo3ZK #LowtherCastle #Cumbria #archaeology
