Martin’s appointed. He’s the manager for at least the next few months, as per any other manager at the start of a tenure. His best chance of making beyond then it is with buy-in from the fanbase - and I believe there are positives for people to get behind.

He has my full backing and no one who is a Rangers fan ever wants the club to fail to be proven right. If you do you absolutely aren’t a fan.

Russell Martin is the chosen manager for Rangers. Strong personality, good connection with players and an ample tactical flexibility is what is coming to Ibrox 💪

We now have our first insight into the type of club the new regime want Rangers to be ON the pitch. This shouldn’t be manager specific. They should fit the club ethos, not the other way around. It won’t be prescriptive but I expect profiles like:

Goalkeepers who can kick a football. Centre backs who are comfortable on the ball (potential issue here with RM as we need physicality in our league) Technical, quick fullbacks who press and can play as traditional full back or invert. An actual real live midfield playmaker🥰

Attacking eights who can create, press intelligently and run off ball. Mobile, aggressive wingers who carry the ball, cut inside and can isolate opponents one vs one (hellloooo byline!) Strikers who can press well, contribute in build up and look to run in behind if possible.
