Since October 1st, the San Diego sector has had 214,855 encounters, including over 37,000 street releases. This doesn't account for the frequent occurrences of boats washing ashore, averaging three to four incidents weekly.

This is a crisis and it's imperative everyone knows

This is by far the most dangerous part of the broken immigration system. The asylum process is broken, and minimal vetting is being done, which is concerning. But, the more significant issue is those being undetected and vanishing once they enter the country.

The government is not protecting its citizens and instead is allowing the potential for a crisis to happen. We don't know who is coming into our country and what their background is.

San Diego County is the leading border sector for the first time since October 1999. California is the path of least resistance, and we are seeing it on full display, with over 8,000 encounters last week.

Federal representatives are touting the $38 million from the Federal Government. But, this money will only assist with processing more migrants into our region and will not be used to secure our border. This won't solve the problem; it will only continue it.
