Still reeling from this horrific evidence from Prof John Edmunds at the Covid Inquiry yesterday. In refusing to lockdown in autumn 2020, Boris Johnson was responsible for up to 25,000 Covid deaths by ignoring the experts & evidence. Itโ€™s sickening ๐Ÿ˜”

Because the Prime Minister and population of Gibraltar want a deal with the EU, because their economy depends on movement of people, because they aren't isolationists or fantasists with regard to the modern world.

Israelโ€™s siege now blocks 83% of food aid reaching Gaza. Gaza doesnโ€™t have enough food for the children. Itโ€™s not famine. Itโ€™s forced starvation. Forced starvation is an act of genocide.

The BBCโ€™s aching desperation for โ€˜balanceโ€™ has now seen GB Newsโ€™ Christopher Hope and the Spectatorโ€™s Katy Balls invited on to provide political insight Both work for organisations that are about as right wing as you can get But still โ€˜balanceโ€™ yeah #politicslive

Here Karl Williams (CPS) tries to use the recent OBR report to back up his claims most migrants are on low wages. Unfortunately, he neglected to read *what the OBR actually said* before writing. A (brief, simplified) explanation of his main error (1/n) archive.ph/pV3MV

Issue is - you cannot fully quantify the hit to UK goods trade as a result of new trade barriers - but all reputable economists (including Julian Jessop FRSA) agree it exists ๐Ÿค“ The academics can argue their various methods, but it is definitely substantive.

Catherine McBride OBE Faisal Islam You've ignored the cumulative effect that exports to the EU, our largest & closest market, are down 27%! It doesn't matter if thats large business or SME's, both feed into the same economy... As for nuts, its an ingredient issue, you won't make a Korma ready meal in the UK...

Robert Colvile MigrationObservatory Actually even more bizarre than I thought. CPS actually decided to substitute their own (assumption-based and demonstrably wrong) numbers for the OBR's actual data-based numbers. x.com/jdportes/statuโ€ฆ

It's here in black and white from ONS. Put up trade barriers and trade suffers. It's what we've done via Brexit, and it's exactly what's happened. Why are they still in denial?

Catherine McBride OBE Faisal Islam How is ever possible to ("find a more efficient supplier") import from *external* markets across *UK* regulatory & customs borders (the highest of trading barriers) than to buy from another that is closer by & from within your own *internal* market?
