Henry Yates Thompson lent Chester Beatty #coetivyhours and other mss to National Gallery in 1909 CULTIVATE MSS IES He sold the ms to #EdithBeatty in 1919.

#chesterbeatty named again CULTIVATE MSS IES this time related to Millar’s 2 vol catalogue of Beatty’s Western Mss (no. 3 never finished bc of sales)

Thanks CULTIVATE MSS IES for inviting me to present a paper on the amazing collector and “wonderful judge of all works of art” Edith Beatty (1886-1952), whose husband’s collection (and some of hers) now resides Chester Beatty Many thanks for all the lovely feedback 😊
