Slowly, the giants move...and finally Woolworths moves to divest from pokies. This is very welcome news. The actual pokies aren't going to disappear, of course, but the pressure is at least creating awareness and change. theguardian.com/business/2019/ā€¦

Adani, if it goes ahead, will create ONE HUNDRED JOBS. Not the thousands originally promised, not even the 1200 subsequently admitted in court. Almost entirely automated - while putting the tourism industry that employs tens of thousands of Queenslanders at risk.

9billion$ is the key word for pressuring this corrupt policy of exile to Manus& Nauru. One of the main reasons this govt insists on continuing this barbaric policy is to engage in huge corruption. We are here and we know the massive amounts of money going into companies' pockets.

Since this morning four more people attempted suicide or self harm. 3 were on Manus and were transferred to local hospital. Another man was in Port Moresby. The number has increased to at least 31. I don't know what tragedy means in Australian culture?

3 more people self harmed or burned themselves since this morning on Manus. So far at least 20 people attempted suicide. 5 people are in the local hospital and 2 were transferred to Port Moresby over the past few days. So many people are unable to eat because of deep depression.

The local hospital in Manus is not capable of admitting suicidal and self-harmed cases anymore. There is no medical facilities in the island for providing refugees with treatment. The situation is an extreme emergency.

As a witness to six years of torture & violence by the Aus gov on Manus, Iā€™m begging the people who still believe in human dignity to do whatever they can to help these broken souls on Manus & Nauru. The refugeesā€™ mental health state has never been as bad before.
