Thousands of providers kept their doors open during COVID because of the Provider Relief Fund. Now Congress is thinking of cutting it while cases climb. #HandsOffPRF until the pandemic is truly over and providers are made whole. mcknightsseniorliving.com/home/news/hand…

It has now been 237 days since HRSA has spent a dime of the $43.5 billion Provider Relief Fund with the US now averaging 100,000 new COVID cases per day. Use the Provider Relief Fund to relieve providers!

Today in #ProviderMag: AHCA, NCAL letter to HHS requests immediate release of funds. Extra costs from COVID are causing a major strain on facilities that have long struggled to break even. providermagazine.com/Breaking-News/…

I support #VaccineMandates for ALL health care workers. To isolate one sector (nursing homes) and not any others gives all our staff who choose not to be vaccinated an easy option for changing jobs, leaving nursing homes without staff. I pray my parents’ facility stays open.

Worst workforce shortage in the history of modern American healthcare. Worst pandemic facing healthcare providers in over 100 years. 248 days of the federal government sitting on $43.5 billion already earmarked for America’s Healthcare providers. Unconscionable.

If I own a gas station and start charging $15/gallon in a declared emergency like a hurricane, I go to prison. Anyone else been thinking about how staffing agencies are charging 5x for nurses in a national emergency and historic workforce pandemic, or is that just me?

The number of nursing assistants in nursing homes declined from 627,370 in 2011 to 571,160 in 2021. 2020-2021 saw a decline of 56,320 alone. A staffing mandate just won’t work until we grow the #careforce.
