Finally, I can share this publicly! Edinburgh will open a CDT for Machine Learning Systems (thanks to EPSRC and 20+ industry partners), creating a space for ML scientists, system researchers, and chip designers to drive innovative co-designs across the ML system stack!

Excited to share that our paper, “Adaptive CHERI Compartmentalization for Heterogeneous Accelerators” (jointly with Theodore Markettos, Alexandre Joannou, Paul Metzger, Matthew Naylor, Peter Rugg, Timothy Jones ), has been accepted to #ISCA 2025!

This work is the first attempt to extend #CHERI beyond CPUs to accelerators. We introduce CapChecker, a novel approach that enables the safe adaptation of existing non-CHERI accelerators into CHERI-based ecosystems.
