WOW! Jonathan Aldanese is on fire today. I can't take notes fast enough. He is forcing us to really look at the work we are currently doing in order to raise it to the level our writers desperately need. #TCRWP

One of my goals for next year is less explanation with example and more demonstration and guided practice. Changing my method of instruction will increase the level of engagement. Jonathan Aldanese #tcrwp

The link is a great time to invite writers to try the strategy when it makes sense. Thanks for forcing me to think about the link Jonathan Aldanese #tcrwp

The strongest methods of grammar instruction: 1) demonstration (classic writing instruction, I do, you do) 2)inquiry (gather some work, inquire β€œhow is the author using capitalization in this text?”, etc 3) interludes/ extravaganzas (kids are creating to teach) #tcrwp

Can't wait to use Jonathan Aldanese tips for planning lessons. Looking at the resources in a new way will definitely improve how I deliver my lessons to students. #tcrwp

A8 Demonstration is powerful, especially when Ss are alerted that their job is to watch us because they are going to go next. Explanation w/ an example is powerful when we have good exemplars. Guided practice allows us to coach. And inquiry is powerful & engaging! #tcrwp #wuos

Brooke Geller Q4. As a first timer of TCWRP I plan to have copies for students of the exemplars and if students would like a to see the actual text I’m going to have a bucket that all our mentor text will be available for reference. #TCRWP

I can't believe our time with Jonathan Aldanese is almost over. I learned so much in our 4 days together. Looking forward to our writing celebration this afternoon. #tcrwp

"Communities aren't just made up of people, they are made up of stories." Thank you for the reminder Jonathan Aldanese Our time together was an emotional roller coaster, which all great writing workshops should be. So grateful for you and your work. #tcrwp
