Finished a gruelling week of acute general medicine yesterday

Today I took a day off and collected my second The MICHELIN Guide star of the month having lunch with two great friends

Look after yourself and enjoy it, your work doesn’t care about you

Trying to think of a good, non offensive, qn to ask ppl giving talks on & ML to show that they know very little about it (medics & start ups)

I only know tabular data so could be something like “what alternative measures of utility do you have?” (When showing ROC)

Ideas?

Congratulations to everyone who’s received positive MRCP PACES results this week
Despite the troubles of Royal College of Physicians having that post nominal should still be seen as a real achievement and big step in your medical journey

If you care about this, or frankly the general erosion of curiosity and clinical priority as the drivers of U.K. medicine, you should read “Can Medicine Be Cured?” By Seamus O’Mahony
I loved it so much I wrote to him via his publisher to tell him
