I’m re-reading Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan Novels and I’m enjoying them even more this time around. Why/how are these books so good!? A guess: I think it’s because they tell a story of childhood without relying on nostalgia, positive or negative.

Restaurant concept idea: breakfast / brunch place that only serves oatmeal / hot cereals but has lots of interesting topping options.

Fave salty/sweet snack: - Bengal Spice tea - Peanut butter pretzel nuggets from Costco - Dark chocolate peanut butter cup from Trader Joe’s The key is to eat the pretzel nuggets and chocolate PB cups at the same time, and combine with the tea so the chocolate melts a bit.

My neighbor is getting his roof redone and the roofers each brought their own camping chair and portable stove to have a warm lunch picnic on the sidewalk. 🤗
