Thanks Phil Mendelson for listening to my testimony this afternoon. My top-line ask: Band-aid ad-hoc short-term #literacy investments are not enough. It's time to align all education agencies to make bolder & longer-term #literacy investments.

OSSE has notified DC State Board of Ed that draft social studies standards are on track to be delivered on 12/16. The State Board will read, review, and discuss the standards with an expert panel at its 12/21 Public Meeting. Info on how members of the public can comment, coming soon.
