christine durrance Jessica Kiser follows with work on Virginia’s Contraceptive Access Initiative. She shows that the program, which provided LARCs to low-income women reduced birth rates by 1-3%, in a setting with high baseline take-up and expanded Medicaid access. Policy context matters!

Enjoyed having a chance to present at the Economic Demography workshop yesterday! I presented new work with Jessica Kiser on a contraception initiative in Virginia and watched Lindsey Bullinger present our joint work on cash and child maltreatment. A stacked program! ;)
My first paper has found a home WEAI Economic Inquiry! I show that Perinatal Quality Collaboratives improve maternal health by reducing eclampsia and ICU admissions.
