Those who tweet out their session notes or bit.ly at #TCEA are my FAVORITE type of people! So spam me with ALL your notes! Especially if you were in a Sketch Noting session, they were all full😫

πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ Yes. Yes. Yes. Encourage your families to spend time together. Read something. Write something. Bake something. Play board games. Build a fort. Paint. Create something. Sort through things. There are SO MANY different ways to review our standards than just packets.

Oh Betsy, Dear Betsy! Once again, you show how unfit you are to lead #PublicEducation. You’ve got our teachers mixed up with someone else! Please #SitDownBetsy! The real educators got this!

Maslow applies to educators now more than ever. Leaders need to remember that when they’re talking about culture, mission, and all that stuff at the top of the pyramid... they have staff members & students who are worried about safety, security, and all that stuff at the bottom.

It’s not just students who need Maslow. Teachers need: 1) feel safe / supported 2) emotional connection/ relationships 3) feel respected 4) attention/ appreciation 5) value within the team 6) Volition/ autonomy 7) innovation/ creativity 8) self care
