Few things are more depressing and annoying than a "zoomer" coming into the room, seeing you watching a b&w film from the 50s, and saying "Ew! That's so OLD!" Then again, this same person didn't want to watch a film from 1998, because it was "too old".

You know, it's actually mind boggling, that the Star Wars and Star Trek universes are so full of all these weird ass races. And yet all modern "SW" and "ST" media is interested in, is hollow human "representation". How droll. Give me some interesting aliens!

Imagine that you're one of the best selling authors of all time, who wrote one of the most popular and beloved stories/franchises of all time. And now imagine not being invited to celebrations of your own work, that made others rich, because some dislike your views. Shit's nuts

Honestly, ever since I was a kid, I've always rooted for the smaller countries to win Olympic medals, especially gold. The US can have 43 medals, China can have 11 gold. But for small countries, winning medals, especially gold, means a LOT more to them, like the whole country.

It's funny that in the literary industry, it is (rightly) considered a cardinal sin to plagiarize another writer. But that same industry seems to be A-OK with writer's having work "assisted" by AI, or even flat out "written" by AI. This needs to stop. #ArtistsOverAI

I was made aware today that people who literally have ChatGP or whatever AI program, "write" a story or book in its entirety, are getting those "books" published on Amazon Kindle. They fully allow it. If plagiarizing other writers matters, so should having AI "write" for you.

I keep hearing people say "AI taking over jobs is inevitable". Nothing is inevitable, unless we LET it be. And especially The Arts, the ONE business based purely on human expression, human imagination, emotion, experience. AI has NO place in the arts, and we shouldn't let it.

Saw an ad on Facebook yesterday. Said "get paid for Book Reviews!". They'll pay you to leave ONLY positive reviews of books they tell you to, and literally even say "you don't even have to read the books or have any interest in them!". The industry is currently in the shitter.
