One thing that I was thought was revealing about the divisions within Canada: When Carney acknowledged Poilievre's hard work on his campaign in his victory speed, the crowd of Liberals cheered. When Poilievre mentioned Carney in his concession speech, there was loud booing.

Congratulations to Corey Hogan. I met several of his supporters yesterday and was impressed with their optimism. I look forward to his efforts to bridge fed-prov divides, I hope in cabinet. He’ll be a voice for Calgary’s interests I’m sure.

With the final poll now reporting, Pierre Poilievre has lost his seat by 3,793 votes

The Liberals finish just 611 votes away from a majority.

Together, we chose the leader with the experience, skill, and character to defend our country in the face of Trump’s attacks on our sovereignty. We made the right choice. Mark Carney is the man for this moment.
