You don't need to be different from the competition to have a successful product. You have to be better. If you look at the competitors, compare your must-haves, performance benefits, and delighters. Make sure you overall are better 👌 #productmanagement

Imagine if our letter grades in school were A, B, C, D, E, Not yet. Showing kids, they are on a learning curve instead of saying, "you failed." This is a growth mindset. Embrace "The power of yet" and discard "The tyranny of now." (credits to Carol Dweck)

A successful GTM starts much earlier than planning the strategy. It is all about the product and solid research, discovery, and aiming at Product/Market Fit. The GTM, as such, is not the problem. The product is the problem. Fix the product first. #productmanagement #gtm

Product Managers wear many hats. UX and design hats are not two of them. The PM needs to understand and articulate the problem. The UX girl and the designer bring it to life. Note the difference #productmanagement #ux #design

In Product, when the customer interviews get boring after hearing the same problems over and over, you have your pattern. I call this "The Pain Point Pattern." Work on ideas to solve it, and your journey toward a PMF (Product/Market Fit) has started 🚀 #productmanagement

To get your SaaS product to an MVP state, do the UX right. Crappy UX is not enough despite the product "can do what the user needs". Today's users are savvy. Good UX is part of the MVP. Always. (image credits: buff.ly/3Yf6vB0 and buff.ly/3DSj9xI)

Great products are build after hundreds of iterations on the same problem and aim. For every feature you experience in a great product, the team probably discarded 99 other ways of solving it. Jeff Bezos once summed this up: "Be stubborn on vision but flexible on details"

In your daily work, you make hundreds of decisions a day. But you don't have the mandate to decide everything. Understand "the path to yes" to make your job easier and know when, how, and who to address to prepare future decisions. #productmanagement #saas

Last week I was snowboarding in Austria. One of my sons had a crash (concussion, hospital, etc.). When I realized we had to call for help, I looked for an emergency number on my phone in the ski resort app. It had no number for that. Do. User. Story. Mappings. Always.

Stop that long list of features you created in a meeting room. Half of it will never be implemented, and the half being implemented, customers are probably not fond of anyway. Talk to some customers and do a Now, Next, Later roadmap. Start today. You'll thank me later 😉

Product strategy doesn't work because of frameworks, tools, and descriptions. Product strategy works because of communication. 👉 Communicate. 👉 Strategy. 👉 Always. #productmanagement #saas #productstrategy

Selling B2B SaaS software can be daunting. Do understand the needs of the decision-maker. The CFO wants ROI. The CCO wants revenue. The COO wants optimization. The CEO wants the exec team to win 😉 Cater to the right needs at the right time 👊 #productmanagement #saas #b2b

With momentum, failing isn't a problem 👌 You're still moving forward 😉 Learn from the bruises 🤕 Keep going 👊 #productmanagement #saas #entrepreneurship

Scrum has one aim and one aim only - deliver outcome 👊 Give the team some leeway and adapt the process 👊 Outcome matters - process doesn't 🏆 #productmanagement #saas #scrum

Inventing great products can be like spelunking ⚫️ Customer discovery is your flashlight 🔦 Talk to customers, and you are less likely to fall 👊

You love your Product Management job, but you hate your boss 🤷🏻‍♂️ Option 1: Share your CV with 50 recruiters and drag yourself through the pain of job interviews 😬 Option 2: Share your boss' CV with 50 recruiters and wait three months 😉 #productmanagement #jobadvice

Push, push, push. Get your product out there. It is simple. 👉 Ship the feature now. 👉 Monitor the usage. 👉 Improve quality. 👉 Monitor again. 👉 Repeat.

Struggling with getting value from customer interviews? Do this 👇 👉 Force yourself to talk about the problem with the customer. 👉 Make the customer elaborate on the problems. 👉 Bring back the problems to the team. 👉 THEN talk about solutions. #productmanagement

As a Product Manager, you work 100x more on people than product 😉 👉 You coach, mentor, and provide feedback. 👉 You communicate with stakeholders. 👉 You navigate all levels in the org. 👉 You take the blame from users. 👉 And you do it with a smile. 👉 Tough, yet rewarding.

We bought stadium tour tickets for Stade de France via Paris Saint-Germain, but the stadium was closed on the date of the tickets. It seems impossible to contact PSG about it, and the chatbot on the psg.fr website is useless. Half a day, €100 + two Uber rides wasted 🤬
