Absolutely! Each cancer patient in every stage should receive some type of supportive care. We often (surgeons and oncologysts) are too focused on surg. and chemo/immunotherapy. Adequate supportive care is the key to prevent complications and long term disabilities in survivors

Wherever and whenever there is a "Challenge", there is also an "Opportunity".

We always talk abt pall care for cancer, even early referral to pall care. But when it comes to end-stage illnesses like dementia, COPD, HF, etc.. pts, families & care porviders are a lot more uncomfortable to initiate that sort of conversation/care, even when QoL is "0".

Many would say that when it comes to #healthcare, we r leaving one race behind. I would argue we r leaving everyone behind, some more than the others.
