Very pleased with Zain Hana last night. Felt she was a bit unlucky last time at Newmarket so pleased to see her back to winning ways at Nottingham. Keeps our strike-rate at 27 per cent for the season. A big thank-you to the team here at Shalfleet who are doing a great job.

A third winner from our last seven runners, thanks to Querelle at Kempton last night. She showed improvement from her first run and I feel she'll keep on progressing. Her win maintained Shalfleet's 27 p.c strike-rate...hopefully we can push on again from there.

Big thank you to all the staff here at Shalfleet Stables...Missy Mischief's win at Doncaster Racecourse yesterday was the fourth from our last nine runners. The team are doing such a top job to have us punching at a 28 p.c strike-rate for the year.

Delighted that Cenotaph made it three wins on the trot tonight at Chelmsford. He has got plenty of talent. A good 24 hours for Shalfleet after Garrus also won at Newcastle Racecourse

Delighted for Kamikaze Lord to get his head in front - just - at Kempton Park Racecourse tonight. A genuine horse who tries very hard and that was the reason why he managed to win this evening. Most probably put him away now until next year.

Great to see Alexa Rose win Kempton Park Racecourse this afternoon. She's clearly improved from her first run and I'm delighted she put another one on the board for Shalfleet. She's a good solid filly with a future.

Such sad news about John Gallier. He was a Shalfleet stalwart for many years and did a great job looking after and riding Araafa for us. He was much liked in the yard. Our condolences to his family.

Wishing @Jason7Watson1 all the very best in his recovery from the neck injury sustained in his fall Kempton Park Racecourse . Very talented young rider and know he will bounce back in 2019.

Very saddened to hear of Hugh McIlvanney's passing. I was lucky enough to spend some time with him over the years and he was fabulous company. For many of us he was the greatest sports writer of them all.

Really happy with Fleeting Princess' win at Yarmouth yesterday. She did it as I hoped she would and the plan is to run her next at York Racecourse in the Marygate Listed race in just over a fortnight...

Great result with Bomb Proof York Racecourse yesterday...It was a lovely start to his career. He'll be heading to Royal Ascot. Whether we will give him another run in between, we'll see.

I have decided to retire from training. The time is right for me to walk away. I will be leaving the sport with a smile on my face and with a lot of great memories.

Planning for my final two runners to be at Royal Ascot. Bomb Proof is pencilled in for either the Windsor Castle or Norfolk Stakes & Cenotaph is set for the Wokingham. It will be a nice way for me to finish & now I just want to do the best job I can with the two horses.
