Pretty disappointed to hear that South Huron actively decided to reinforce the stereotypes others have about rural small towns-that they are not a safe place for everyone, that they are stuck in the past - by suggesting that not flying Pride flags represents the views of all 🏳️‍🌈

Also, South Huron has done plenty of work on introducing a meaningful land acknowledgment that includes some education on their website, yet refuse to fly the Pride flag. Seems like picking and choosing, which isn’t what anti-oppression work is about. Make space for everyone
