18 years ago today, in a torrential downpour at Suffolk Downs, a little bay gelding named What a Trippi threw an epic tantrum in the paddock and then ran second in his first start. I’ve been his biggest fan since. Today, we went for a hack and he had a poptart.

In 2020, the 2 fillies in the first photo (bay and chestnut-y gray foals) were best buds. They grew up to be Working for Carats (bay, who we kept) and Valiant Praise (Kenny McPeek purchased at Keeneland . Now they're raising their foals together, and THEY are also best buds!
