A1: One question I recently integrated into my leadership practice is this: "What is this moment telling me?" This simple question supports me to shift my mindset. #TheLearningPro

A2 I recently heard Peter Senge and Mette Boell talk about "generative social fields" and I have been using that framework to think about what I'm bringing into a space and how that might be impacting those who share that space with me. #TheLearningPro

A2 I also am reading "emergent strategy" by adrienne maree brown, which says: "less prep, more presence; low ego, high impact; building alignment, not selling ideas; relationship is the measure of our strength; trust your own work and each other" #TheLearningPro

A3 Norming that it's okay to say, "I don't know." and "Can you help me figure out?" #TheLearningPro

A4 This is a real tension! Learning feels so different when it springs from genuine curiosity. I try to ask myself, and others, questions to spark that curiosity so that learning becomes embedded is small moments. #TheLearningPro

A4: I recently learned of "weaving" which is the idea that if we can create a coherent narrative that connect different aspects of our work, it feels less overwhelming. Of course, easier said than done. #TheLearningPro

A5 In one of the districts I partner with, when the pandemic first hit, district leaders thought we should cancel the principals' community of practice bc of overwhelm. Instead, the principals wanted to meet MORE. It was so inspiring. Fewer silos, more collab. #TheLearningPro

A5 More personally, my spouse is also an educator, so we basically talk about our work all day, lol. #TheLearningPro

A6: I appreciate Bettina Love's wisdom: When you seek to abolish something, you need to know what you're building in its stead. So in this moment, I'm constantly wondering, "What am I trying to build now?" I want to carry that forward. #TheLearningPro
