Trinity Haus would like to hear your views on the planning and design of nursing homes in Ireland! tcd.ie/trinityhaus/ne… Your input will feed into the development of planning & design guidelines for new settings & the adaption and retrofit of existing settings.

Over the last weeks I've been in Galway, Kinsale, & Bruff as part of Trinity Haus-led HealthResearchBoard- funded "Planning and design for quality of life and resilience in residential long-term care settings for older people in Ireland. #livedexperience #builtenvironment #RLTC #ageing

To better understand the needs and preferences of residents, families, & staff, we've run focus groups framed by a daily clock exercise, done on-site analysis of settings, and completed walkability audits, in collaboration with Age Friendly Ireland & Older Persons Council members.

Here is Age Friendly Ireland and members of Cork's #OlderPersonsCouncil joining us in Kinsale this past Tuesday to complete the mini-walkability audits - a key aspect of our on-site activities #cocreation #PublicPatientInvolvement #engagement #builtenvironment #ageing #community

Questionnaire on your views/experience (families/residents/staff) regarding the planning and design of nursing homes in Ireland from Trinity Haus Research Centre Trinity College Dublin, Age Friendly Ireland, @AgeAction HSE Ireland, and the Centre for Excellence in Universal Design (CEUD), funded by HealthResearchBoard. forms.gle/cmhKA8PNN9i8ar…

Read about Sage Advocacy's "The Forty Shades of Grey seminar on Responding to the Challenges & Opportunities of an Ageing Society & Economy" - tcd.ie/trinityhaus/ne… @TomEGrey spoke about Housing continuum & an ‘all-neighbourhood’ approach to ageing, interdependence, & care’

Join us on June 7th in Dublin where Trinity Haus researchers will be hosting the first stakeholder workshop "Irish Residential Long-Term Care Settings in Ireland - Findings and Feedback". ➡️➡️For more information and to register for workshop: tinyurl.com/4rt53nvk
