Please know that nurses are specialized experts. They cannot be replaced by physicians, or any other health workers. They are the backbone of our entire healthcare system. Make no mistake: We will never rescue our collapsing healthcare system if we do not truly support nurses.

Pre-COVID: agencies charged ~$65/h to supply ICU RNs Since COVID: agencies charge up to $110/h Privatization diverts public $ to private companies who can take advantage of the situation hospitals face. Shore up public healthcare instead of letting privatization undercut it.

Please be reminded that the Ontario government's refusal to #RepealBill124 and legislate TEN permanent #PaidSickDays is contributing to the burn out of healthworkers and thus, the collapse of Ontario's health system. Don't let anyone tell you they've "done quite a lot already".
