Congratulations to all our Scottish Young Musicians participants this evening - it takes a lot of courage to stand up and perform solo, you did yourselves and your schools proud West Lothian Council
So very proud of Deans Community HS Senior Brass for this achievement. They work hard and make a wonderful team, which shines through in their performances. As winners of WLC Brass Ensemble of the Year they now go on to represent West Lothian in the national finals ๐๐ป ๐๐ป ๐๐ป
Itโs also a busy time for primary school brass, who are all having their Easter performances this week too, starting with Seafield Primary and ELC who performed for the infant classes on Monday, marking the first time the P5 players have ever performed in public. They did a great job! โญ๏ธ
Great to visit CMA Dubai today, where I spent the first 10 yrs of my career - front desk co-ord/piano teacher, then piano/brass teacher, then brass teacher/workshops & ed events manager. Fab to see everyone.I loved my time in the UAE, and recommend teaching abroad to anyone ๐ฆ๐ช ๐ถ
An early birthday treat. Very much enjoying this trend of global cultural phenomenons coming to town around my birthday! Last year Beyonce, this year Hamilton West End Iโll be spending my actual birthday at school making music with Cluster Band, so thereโs definitely a theme ๐๐ถ

Well done Deans Community HS Junior Brass Ensemble for opening the Junior Awards Ceremony tonight with a set of three fanfares. That was the last event of the year for the secondary school, and what a fabulously busy year itโs been. We are definitely all ready for the holidays next week!
