In last 24 hrs there've been prominent US voices calling for a stop to social distancing, citing rationale that they're worse than impact of COVID itself. It’s worth looking very closely at that claim, where we are in US COVID epidemic and what happens if we stop. 1/x

Thank you everyone for your incredible messages of support and encouragement.♥️ Many of you asked what it was like in the ER right now. I want to share a bit with you. Please RT: A Day in the Life of an ER Doc - A Brief Dispatch from the #COVID19 Frontline:

I cant believe the conversation in the States has shifted overnight to: "Maybe we can stop social distancing in 2 wks to save the economy, and the old people who dont contribute to economy anyway should just take one for the team." That's some Nazi level scary shit right there.

Donald J. Trump Sending everyone back to work to get the economy roaring again is not going to magically make the coronavirus pandemic disappear. We will all be put back into this stay at home situation except hundreds of thousands of critically ill patients will flood our hospitals and ICUs.

This is the strongest statistical association I've seen w/ respect to the virus. Wear a mask, mandate others to wear masks, & remember that World Health Organization (WHO) is criminally incompetent. To repeat:World Health Organization (WHO) is criminally incompetent. PS-Don't get into elevators, buses, etc. unless your mask in N95

This is chilling. A nurse on the front lines in Chicago tried to wear her own N95 to work while caring for COVID pts (when it wasn’t supplied for her) & she was told by management she would not be allowed to. April 10th US outlook via Financial Times #dataviz: Still sub-2000 deaths/d on the 7-day avg (but tops all) and about to hit 20,000 on the cumulative curve. The doubling time of 3+ days still is not going to get us to ~60,000 deaths; need more flattening! #StayHome #StayHomeSaveLives

On the Navajo Nation reservation, COVID has killed more people than in the entire state of New Mexico, which has a population 13 times larger. Let that sink in.
