Special thanks to Montrose Golf Links for hosting this week. Classic(dates to 1562)out and back links, starting and finishing in town. Fair share of white knuckle tee shots coupled with linksy terrain/turf and epic views over ocean, surrounding countryside and the fine old town.

If you really thought a 2-3 footer was a gimme, and beneath you to putt...why the full on pre shot routine(including Aimpoint)? Why not just quickly and routinely brush it in? Begging is unbecoming.

“I hate seeing that aimpoint over a short putt like that.”—Brad Faxon, who was a decent putter Louder for the people in the back

Very fortunate to have all family members safe in the devastation that took place in Augusta/Aiken County. My house in the woods untouched, Father in law less fortunate- his neighborhood looked like a war zone.Thoughts and prayers to those in Florida and North Carolina as well.

My photos on a grey day don't do the place justice. Rollicking wild and wooly Perranporth GolfClub Remembered it from years ago as great, but forgot how spectacular it really is for all great 18 holes. Ballybunion on steroids(without the tour buses)-almost afraid to expose its glory.

Morning "fogout" at Teignmouth, but a fantastic breakfast. Lots going on on 1 and 18 in the afternoon round at The Warren A wonderful out and back links, but alas I took few pictures. Was hoping for a cool bank but turns out balls CAN stay in the safety fence/wall on 18...

Rory taking his game to another level with a 3/4 flighted 9 iron. Such shots mitigate the effects of wind especially if kept below treeline and allow a more predictable outcome, less susceptible to varying winds. Trackman doesn't calculate shifting swirling winds-or adrenaline.

As my father—an engineer at Boeing—might have put it, you are “engineering the fundamentals of the golf swing.” But unlike the clean, repeatable mechanics of aircraft design, the golf swing resists perfection. In fact, history shows us there’s no perfect golf swing. The greatest
