Usually I bank returners as PFAs; but Iowa's Kaden Wetjen draftable grade from me; thinking day-3/5th rd. -dual return aplomb (rare enough) -elite hands as RS (even rarer) -but enough aptitude/juice to contribute gadget handoffs/backup slot duty -think prime DET/JAX Jamal Agnew

The sample size is still small (only 16 career starts), but these are three traits that frequently show up when studying his tape. Big reason why he’s my current QB1 and No. 5 overall ranked player on my latest big board. espn.com/nfl/draft2026/…

Figure/rank here by Dart notable given his situational factors. There was loud contingent voice #OnHere that panned him as projectable franchise QB. & while NFL rook QBs have backslid in the past, has acquitted himself well so far If back for final 5 gms, should run away w/OROY.

A 59 yr old with Zero HC experience & who has only been a DC & been passed over for every job over the last decade (not sure he's ever even been a runner up) & his def in Cincy was never a real strength would be an uninspiring hire & speak volumes about how this job is looked at

So Kevin Stefanski doesn't hate Shedeur Sanders? Strange. Several non-football people on here said that was the case last week.

Yep, feels like we're in curve of the cycle where NFL Ds successfully countered w/lighter sub-pack personnel & 2-high shells. & most NFL offenses haven't successfully combated. What I find ironic tho is we're in an era when the rules lend greatest ease (to pass) in NFL history.

Jeff Roemer (@jeffroemer) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I don't think anyone w/a serious industry perspective has/will give up on. Most perceived disappointment, I'd offer, comes from being overdrafted & a Fantasy letdown. He already been a "good player." Next team just needs to treat/pay him as a WR2; needs to align detached 75-85%.

The other irony w/this, to me anyway, is it also has never been easier to achieve schemed ball-cntrl completions. To serve as an extension to running game in the least. That also comes w/possibility of breaking a tackle & it becomes an even better EPA play; int/inc risk included.

Jeff Roemer (@jeffroemer) 's Twitter Profile Photo

This is also a very salient point from an aggregate-yards standpoint. Though, per my previous tweet, I do think some schematic/playcalling give-&-take has occurred; where there are additional relatively easily attainable passing yds left on the "field/board" too often by clubs.

Pitts linearly fast & long w/outsized catch radius. But little elusivity &, esp given size/length, struggles w/CTC. Gon be hard for alpha role or muddy chain-mover. Needs be schemed space/matchups to optimize impact/production. Intentional front office/coach staff could achieve.

The 2026 NFL Draft class features more quality blocking tight ends than we've seen in recent years/some time. The quest then becomes which (already?) have impactful rec skill, higher-end athletic traits, &/or untapped/underdeveloped receiving skill to bring back over-slot ROI.

Need an offensive guard? This is a good class to grab one (assuming a couple of these dudes don't go back to school). Here, I refreshed my offensive guard grades with updated, tiered rankings. Enjoy! Link 🔽🔽🔽

This gap between David Bailey and the next highest Big 12 edge rusher is kind of insane. It's fair to have concerns about some elements of Bailey's game, but there's no denying his ability to simply disrupt and generate pressure.

Jalen Walthall from Incarnate Word is arguably the best FCS WR prospect I’ve looked at so far Elite ball tracking, elusive after the catch, 1.3% drop rate, and a dangerous deep route runner

Tirico started it tho & both consistent thruout. I noticed their new "ta" emphasis actually matched how MM himself said it in SNF thumbnail intro. So probably came up in pre-production Mariota is Italian patronym of Maria & correctly pronounced last nite vs long-held mar-ee-O-da

We need to use all technology available (& add more quite frankly) to officiate games as correctly as possible on every play. Human refs on-field should be ball/game-mechanics chaperones & w/o whistles. Small low-flying drones should be used for whistles & dynamic camera angles.

Jeff Roemer (@jeffroemer) 's Twitter Profile Photo

W/amount of time, energy, prep & $$$! that go into the execution of NFL games, I cannot fathom how players/union, front offices, coaches, up to owners have not demanded wholesale overhaul of officiating. Given how much/how often outcomes perverted/corrupted by egregious mistakes.
