.Army Geospatial recently added 2.3 billion buildings from Overture Maps Foundation to its next-generation basemap, Releasable Basemap Tiles (#RBT). The open data consists of building footprints and heights from multiple sources with many derived from high-resolution satellite imagery.

#DYK. The Releasable Basemap Tiles (#RBT) program has developed a "Lite" version that provides a global basemap in multiple styles, using only 3.5 GB of storage. RBT Lite lets users access data down to about a 1:100,000-scale for strategic and operational level missions.

On 21 June 2025, President Trump announced the US had struck Iran’s Fordow Nuclear Facility with GBU-57A/B MOP bunker busting bombs. High-resolution imagery taken on 22 June 2025 shows the site after it had been struck.

The first image of Fordow has now been released, a set of munition entry holes are visible just above the suspected underground facility while signs of land subsidence is seen, possibly as the area of interest caved inwards as result of the strike
