Jefferson Elementary recently held a vibrant literacy rally, marking a significant step towards fostering a culture of literacy within the school community. Children First donated $20 per student, allowing each child to purchase books at the school’s book fair.

Today our Tk explorers’ Math lesson had them focusing on numbers 1-5. Through hands on learning they were able to work on their hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, performance, all the while understanding relationships of numbers and quantities!

Today’s session,Ms. Howard and Ms. Campas shared Thinking Maps and how our students use them to organize their thoughts Writing, as well as other subject matter. This session helped our PALS better understand this tool as they prepare to teach other parents!

Today we took our 6th Grade Students to the Museum of Tolerance to have a deeper understanding of what they’ve been learning-Holocaust, through the novel Number the Stars. They all were extremely attentive, asked great questions and most important, showed empathy! Proud Moment

Authentic learning at its finest. My 5th grade teacher, Ms. Aragon had her students create a cardboard arcade and had a 2nd grade class come out and experience it! They had a blast!

Authentic Learning part 2 - 6th grade students in Mrs. Martinez’s class had a Shark Tank Day. Students used their Math, Research, Writing, and Oral Skills in hopes of having the judges invest in their products!

Busy day at Jefferson Elementary School! We finally had our students Build their Sundaes for coming to school while trying their best on the SBAC and for our TK-2 grade progress on their academic goals! Thank you Staff, Booster, and our PALs for helping make this day amazing!

Today 65 of our 2nd-4th graders who grew atleast a band in their STAR Reading were treated to a movie - Lilo & Stitch! This all thanks to Mr. Robles and Dr. Lopez. This special treat included the movie, kids meal and a very special gift bag! Thank you for your generosity!

Reclassification Assembly! 47 of our amazing students were celebrated for the 2024-25 school year. These students met the requirements demonstrating sufficient English language proficiency. However, to them it meant: no more DELD or they get to take an elective at Lincoln.
