Temporary Road Closure: Coalburg Road between Republic Road and Graham Drive will be closed due to a water main break. As soon as the water works can address the break, we will repair the road.

7:40 pm: It's not over quite just yet. While we're in a lull behind this afternoon's thunderstorms, of which produced widespread straight-line wind damage (downed trees and power lines), another batch of storms is currently blossoming across central to southern Arkansas.

Commissioner Tyson joined Governor Kay Ivey as she signed the bill making Juneteenth a State holiday in Alabama. The Jefferson County Commission already recognized Juneteenth as a holiday and will do so again this year. Note, our offices will be closed on June 19, 2025.
