Justice Thomas’ refusal to recuse himself at this morning’s Trump immunity hearing marks another historic low in the high court’s ethics. His moral decay infects the entire Court. It demonstrates the need for a code of ethics mandated by Congress w/a real enforcement mechanism.

For anyone not sufficiently worried about what a second Trump term would be like, his argument in the Supreme Court today should terrify you. He wants absolute unchecked power. That’s his view of the presidency. And he wants to make it so.
