I'm confused. Are Democrats fighting fascism or are we engaging in bipartisanship? Would be nice if leadership settled on a cohesive strategy and message. Either A) democracy is in danger, B) it's actually not, or C) it’s in danger but we still need to cooperate. Please advise.

The devastation on its way is unimaginable - like nothing humanity has ever witnessed before - and everyone will wish they had been climate activists and ‘hysterics’ when they had the chance. We are in a moment of unprecedented stupidity.

ProPublica spoke to about 150 people who had lived in homeless encampments when cities cleared them out in “sweeps.” We distributed notecards so people could tell us about the toll in their own words. This is what they wrote. projects.propublica.org/impact-of-home…

May all of us who remember and honor the best of Jimmy Carter today also follow his courageous example in telling the urgent truth that Israel’s occupation of Palestine is indeed apartheid and must end to bring peace.

RIP President Jimmy Carter, a relentless voice for human rights and human kindness. A teller of truths that the powerful didn't want to hear. Honor his legacy by continuing that work.

Long-range historical take: At some point in the next 20 years, the Senate filibuster will be eliminated, and 1) the presidencies of the early 21st century will be seen as having gotten oddly little accomplished compared to their successors and…

Rep. Stacey Plaskett just stole the show with her demand that the 4 million Americans who live in her district, the District of Columbia, Guam, and PR who collectively represent the highest per capital of military members/veterans in the country, have a right to vote for speaker.

Great news: Seattle just raised its minimum wage to $20.76/hr, one of the highest in the nation! 🎉 I’m proud to see my hometown leading the way in putting workers fast. Now let’s get it done nationwide.

True he was a leader in how to help run a party into the ground. But I’m sure he’ll land as an overpaid consultant or MSNBC guest just like Neera Tanden and the rest of these losers.

Speaking as someone who lost my first election, I realized blaming the electorate was a loser habit. Majorities are constructed - not revealed - so winning means motivating a base and caring enough to make core values relatable. Many Dems appear to detest voters.
