Why start at FBC with a series on prayer? Here a few of the reasons I gave this past Sunday.

One of the most encouraging and overlooked biblical truths on prayer: Jesus and the Spirit are praying for us, Christians!

Oregon, Vermont, and Washington have similar policies. We’ve filed lawsuits in all 3 states to challenge them. Good parents are being denied the chance to adopt/foster. It's unacceptable. These systems are supposed to serve the best interests of kids, NOT an ideological crusade.

Love this encouraging sentence in a letter from John Newton to his discouraged friend and great hymn writer, William Cowper: “Surely He who showed us mercy before we asked for it, will not withhold it now He has taught us how to plead for it agreeably to his own will.”

So grateful for our first Christmas Eve at @fbccumming! Especially thankful for all who served to make all our services all they could be. God was working. Several folks indicated that they placed their faith in Jesus in our services! PTL! Merry Christmas from the Coppenger crew!
