Today’s message from the Scottish Government's Programme for Government that a Scottish Human Rights Bill is not on the agenda nor a priority is deeply disappointing and a breach of trust. The Bill, due to be introduced by June 2024, has been inexplicably delayed again.

At the very time when we need advances in #HumanRights to protect people's basic rights and survival, First Minister has thrown out a 10 year journey towards a progressive #HumanRightsBill for 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It comes as no surprise that the House emptied just hours after the judge announced the publication of the phase 2 report. It shows how many of those within the political elite are a part of the disregard, indifference and incompetence that contributed to the deaths of our 72.
