Imagine growing up thinking it was normal to boil your water. That's what it was like for many of us who grew up on the reserve. 145 advisories lifted since 2015, 30 current boil water advisories in 28 reserves in Canada. Access to safe drinking water is a basic human right.

After 15 years, my career as a journalist has come to an end today. I have covered thousands of stories across Turtle Island. Kinanaskomitin ~ thank you all for sharing your time with me. I will miss the chase. But onto the next chapter. Until next time, mwestas. Ekosi.
