The latest issue of @EJFDS slipped quietly online as the year turned. Pour yourself a glass of “Honest Claret” (courtesy of @Wine18C_Ireland )and enjoy great articles, book reviews, and the lovely Trinity College Urban Garden. arrow.tudublin.ie/ejfds/

Really looking forward to this....Spoiler alert: I'll be presenting a paper titled "Collecting Ireland’s food memories as a resource for food tourism".

Got this yesterday - a very enjoyable read and informative too. Funny thing, Ali verbalises what every Irish person knows innately, but we don't realise that we know it until we see it in print. Love it. Get it.

Yes, that was a wonderful evening! The online book has 28 chapters, and I'm very honoured to be one of the contributors. My one is called "Eating Abroad, Remembering Home: Food parcels, 1845–1960" Get all the chapters here: arrow.tudublin.ie/irishfoodhist/…

Interesting that the Guide classified the food Ballymaloe House Hotel in 1967 as "Franco-Irish cooking" rather than Irish cooking which was Myrtle Allen was all about....
