Interesting that the Guide classified the food Ballymaloe House Hotel in 1967 as "Franco-Irish cooking" rather than Irish cooking which was Myrtle Allen was all about....
Great news: “Irish Food History, A Companion” edited by Dr Dorothy Cashman & Máirtín Mac Con Iomaire has just won Food & Drink Book of the Year @ the Irish Book Awards tonight. Full disclosure- I was one of the 25 contributors to the book.
