The teachers that are the most effective in the classroom are the ones that believe they play the most important role in the learning of their students. They do not view themselves as victims of bad curriculum, “lazy” students, or unsupportive parents. They just get after it!

Having a child on the honor roll doesn’t make you a good parent. Instilling the right values in your child does.

3 things for teachers to remember: 1) Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. It’s not a time for perfection; it’s a time for grace. 2) The students would still love to hear from you. Stay connected if you can. 3) Take care of yourself and your family. They’re still your #1.

Yesterday I was sitting in an interview and one of my colleagues said: “If we’re not excited, there’s no way the students are gonna be excited!” Yeah... hearing that fired me up!

You don’t have to be an administrator, grade level chair, or department head to be a leader in you school. Your title doesn’t matter. You just need to care about making it better. Passion and commitment can transform any culture.

Priorities must be adjusted this year. 🧡

Alabama bball has a very difficult schedule but their lack of discipline defensively is a major concern. I know their inability to guard without fouling and poor shooting is frustrating for Coach Oates. Keep grinding guys and Roll Tide!
