The same people crying ‘Why don’t we build iPhones here?’ are the ones fighting $15/hour and healthcare. Billionaires outsourced jobs, dodged taxes, busted unions—and now they're asking where the factories went.

I saw a crew pulling the overgrown grass and weeds from the underpass at MLK & 610. I can only assume it’s being done to start cleaning up before the World Cup but it’s just sad that we Houstonians don’t get this on a regular basis. It takes a big event for the city to act.

What’s funny about this whole “budget crisis” with the City of Houston is that if they actually enforced the ordinances they have on the books, they could make up the financial gap.

Houston Mayor's Office John Whitmire will never acknowledge to public/self, that Republicans he says Houston future contingent upon, are white supremacist, authoritarians. Lives in past trusting systems that paid off for him & failed us. His blindness a threat to safety & freedom. #Houston

Repeating the Big Lie repeatedly doesn't make it true. The Mayor is rarely transparent. Sending public information requests about infrastructure to the Attorney General is ridiculous. What is he hiding from us?

Why are you lying Mary Benton? I'd be ashamed to be in your position knowing that you're helping destroy your own city at the cost of having a job. City of Houston Houston Mayor's Office

You asked to be heard, I listened. My first Prop A proposal moves the last City Council Public Session of the month to the evening & into the community. It’ll be reviewed May 27 at 10AM. If you can, share your thoughts. This is how we make change, together.

On Heights Boulevard drivers are now using the bike lane as a turn lane to get on the highway. It’s not even wide enough to fit a car but people are squeezing in on it.

Last week the Mayor dined at Katz's with HPD and complained about the sign. The next day Public Works went to Katz's to fear monger with this silliness "cars hit the raised crosswalk and fly off". A few days later the sign was taken (not by Katz's). It's ok we've got another one.
