If we want to bring the world to a more sane place, we need to have impact. There are many ways to do so: - social media, especially those with free speech such as X. Both for exchange of information that is blocked by the mainstream media. But also for AI, to document things

Claude Code, Gemini CLI, OpenAI Codex are amazing tools revolutionising coding. When is the xAI Grok 4 Code CLI tool coming? :)

In the course of 2.5 years, we went from 'if you want a safe job, learn programming' to Claude Code being better than most humans at writing simple (90% of code written) code and most 'simple' standard level programming work will be gone soon. What a dramatic shift.

Claude Code and similar are going to be such a boost for open source. Close source libraries / dependencies have much less examples and documentation available, especially when an AI can read all open code and just learn it all. Close source is completely out-competed soon.

Programming languages that are harder to write for humans but more likely to produce correct and fast code are going to grow a lot with Claude Code and similar. Take Rust for example. It is usually a bit harder to write due to more concepts to juggle with (ownership, lifetimes,

AI is going to be incredibly disruptive on so many levels. One example is education. Already today with a proper framing and a bit of 'anthropomorphizing' hardware, I am sure AI could be turned into a tutor. Many really smart humans were enabled by tutoring (Von Neumann for

Does anybody know if we are getting a Grok Code similar to Claude Code? I like Claude Code a lot but a Grok Code would be even more awesome!

Is there a way to ask Grok, either on twitter or in the Grok app, to send me a notification when a special event happens? That is, use Grok to do monitoring of specific events.

I am blond with blue eyes, which means I belong to a minority that represents only 2 to 3% of the world population. I don't understand why I don't get supported by positive discrimination / affirmative action / DEI. Being part of such a small minority I objectively deserve it.

Most PhD grants and projects are badly micromanaged. It makes no sense to take a PhD where one needs to follow a GANTT diagram that describes what to do month by month. If this is how PhD projects look like these days, better to be a project engineer in a private company.

Sometimes, more is less. I did my PhD in a less renowned university while I could have gone into any PhD program I wanted given my track record. But I consciously chose a 'weak' advisor and lab, because this gave me immense freedom. Instead of being the slave of a big shot Prof's

Hardware takes time to build and deploy but software takes virtually no time. Is this how AGI singularity could happen? If AGI happens through gradual scaling of compute, this will take time and be progressive. If a new drastically more efficient AGI algorithm is developed that

Amazing rate of innovation in agentic AI tools. OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI are racing to launch new features. As a programmer and scientist the CLI releases is the most exciting. This is why I went for Claude Code. Missing a similar one stop official Grok CLI. Anthropic did it right:
