Breaking: Chelsea fined 31m euros (£27m) by UEFA with a further 60m euro conditional for breaches of its financial rules. Aston Villa fined 11m euros (£9.5m) and 15m conditional - both club agreed settlements.

For those asking, only the unconditional fines are due unless the settlements agreed are breached. With both charges combined, Chelsea must pay €31m, with a further €60m conditional (basically 'suspended') fine. Villa must pay €11m, with a further €15m conditional fine.

Additionally, #AVFC may not register any new player on List A for UEFA competitions unless the List A transfer balance is positive, but this is not viewed as an issue. This is unconditional in 25/26, but conditional in 26/27, if Villa report a football earnings deficit in 2025.
