First call map for the wintry event tomorrow-Thursday. I’d say the changes I might need to make moving forward is in NE NC/CNC where the warm nose could over perform. Difficult forecast, but model biases typically is underestimating QPF/underestimating warm air advection #ncwx

The highest chances of snow and accumulations are mid-day tomorrow and early Thursday. These are the two time periods with the highest burst of snow potential. #snOMG #cltwx #ncwx #scwx #wcnc #wxbrad

Pretty impressive presentation this morning with this burst of snow forming off the residual Lee trough. Pretty Convective looking band of snow #ncwx

It's not a joke. Record highs are forecast for Friday and Saturday. Asheville will be near the record for all of April, while Charlotte and GSP are several degrees short. There is the potential that temperatures could be even higher. Stay tuned and stay cool! #ncwx #scwx #gawx

Wouldn’t shock me if there’s several severe hail reports tomorrow with a EML moving in and more linear/straight Hodographs #ncwx

There is a significant hail threat this evening and into early tonight. 4pm-11pm. The area highlights in orange has the highest risk for significant 2" diameter hail or larger, but any localized storms can have large hail tonight. It won't be everywhere, just in the discrete

Watching any storms that could develop later, if they can get going, some significant (2”+) hail and higher then normal odds of damaging winds is possible. Strong EML in place today leading to steep lapse rates & large instability, and strong effective shear in place. #ncwx #vawx

I think the RRFS has a solid handle on the environment in the Carolinas tomorrow. - 4000 surface CAPE -1600 DCAPE - Very steep lapse rates This is the most impressive severe wind environment I've seen while living in Charlotte. I expect numerous wind damage reports tomorrow.
