Being a great teacher is hard work! They make it look effortless in the classroom, but a great deal of work goes into it!

Srta. Spurlock went straight to the airport from school June 13th. In Spain, Portugal, and Denmark, she spoke with top bullfighters at practice, swung a sword at a Viking museum, visited schools, churches, gardens and palaces, and hiked cliff faces to beautiful, hidden beaches.

Mr. Thompson is thoroughly enjoying his summer with exciting adventures to Canada, Disney, and the Outer Banks. #warriorstrong

Curriculum, pedagogy, and technology have all changed.  But the qualities of great teachers have been… and will always be -- timeless.

It’s good to have fun at work… practical jokes, inside jokes, corny jokes, music, shenanigans, hijinks, tomfoolery, silliness… and lots of laughing.  Colleagues that have fun together, work hard together.  And ultimately, it’s a good culture in which students can learn.

For years I have admired this guy’s work ethic, passion for education, and willingness to help everyone and anyone out. I feel so blessed I finally get to call him a colleague. #rollpats

If you’re kind, honest, curious, and a hard worker… you’ll end up being a great human. The academic standards are important… but it’s also cool when educators can find ways to reinforce this other stuff.

Technology has replaced a lot of things in the classroom.  It will never replace a smiling teacher… greeting kids as they walk into class.
