Dependence on food banks is the new UK norm. 14m people, including 3.8m children, food insecure. One in six households went hungry last year. Result of low wages/benefits, unchecked profiteering. 1% have more wealth than 70% of the population combined. theguardian.com/society/2025/s…

Privatisation cult destroying UK. UK gave away North Sea oil/gas, low fees/tax, collected $11 a barrel revenue. Norway didn't, levied higher tax, got $30 a barrel. Norway has $2trn sovereign fund. UK has economic crisis. Obsessed with privatisation. leftfootforward.org/2025/09/how-su…

You shouldn't ask can we afford Nationalisation, but instead ask can we afford Privatisation? Water costs just £7bn to run in England. But you are charged £16bn. That is £9bn a year extra you pay, next year it will be £10bn, and by 2030 nearly £15bn. It's unaffordable.

Rachel Reeves tells private equity bosses she plans to shut down more regulators. Many bank scandals. PE unregulated PE devoured hospitals, care homes, water, high street. Banks continue to mis-sell. What next? Finance sector needs effective regulation. theguardian.com/politics/2025/…

A 2% Wealth Tax on assets over £10 million could raise £24 BILLION per year. And polls show that 75% of the public supports a wealth tax! Join me at this online event kicking off the campaign for Wealth Taxes in the run-up to the Autumn Budget bit.ly/wealthtaxesnow

No other party says the basic truth: migration is good for Britain. The real problem? Inequality, soaring bills, underfunded public services. That’s driven by the greed of the super rich: not by migrants.

Govts manage inflation by hiking interest rates, Forces people to hand money to banks, boosts profits, enriches shareholders & execs. Huge wealth transfer. Millions can't pay bills and cut spending. Economy stutters. Tax the rich to remove surplus cash leftfootforward.org/2025/09/how-su…

The scenes on our streets are shameful consequences of decades of austerity - government after government fanning the flames of anti migration instead of tackling inequality. We can & must make different choices. Solidarity to all communities under attack. We stand together.

Indictment of England's children in residential care, mostly corporate controlled. Annual spend £3.1bn, paid by local councils, spend per child £318,400, 22% profit. Poor value for money. Children not properly cared. But govts insist on privatisation. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Big pharma threatens the UK govt. Want higher drugs prices/profits, squeezing the NHS budget, forcing higher taxes. Trump wants lower drugs prices in the US, uses Europe as reference point. So companies threaten UK govt. Govt must produce generic drugs. theguardian.com/business/2025/…

Revolving doors. Thames Water paid £1m+ to lobbyists part-owned by Starmer adviser. Aim is to reach policymakers, keep TW private. TW pays £200m a year to various advisers. Public ownership would end this chicanery. No need to pay dividends, lobbyists. theguardian.com/business/2025/…

Let me be clear: children and young people in care will keep dying far too young if the law doesn’t change. We have to protect the most vulnerable in our society—and it starts with recognising care experience as a protected characteristic.

Labour must reset policies, boost spending power of the bottom 50%. Median wage £30.432, bosses collect 1112 times worker pay. 37% of universal credit claimants are in work. Poorest in Slovenia/Malta better off than the poorest in UK. Must Redistribute. leftfootforward.org/2025/09/why-th…
